Electrical Safety Handbook for Emergency Responders

08/07/2014 2:38 PM

There have been numerous threads on CR4 where the safety of First Responders during electrical events have been discussed in some detail.

This is an important and very relavent topic that needs to be well understood by all who attend as responders at an event involving electrical energy whether as first responders or not.

The document that the provided link points at is an excellent educational tool with much information in it that goes a long way towards ensuring that... our First Responders go home safely once their involvement with an electrical energy fault event is over.

This document is a product of... the Electrical Safety Authority, Hydro One, the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management and Public Services Health & Safety Association all from the Province of Ontario, Canada.

To our First Responders... Please avail yourself of this information as the life you save may be your own or that of a friend.

Very interesting and helpful, although even in my particular line of work I doubt I will be flying an aerial tanker.

;)

Thanks! Looks like a good tool. I've passed the link on to our county EMA director.
