Really !? What is this, a reality science show ?.

When did we abandon the consideration of a person's merit, and judged his/her achievements by the number of likes or votes.

Well, probably since mankind learned to talk.

I'm going with:

"CLEANING THE WORLD WITH SUNSCREEN AND PENCILS!"

Air and water pollution is a major health hazard and the last place anyone wants to be is a hospital, where germs are everywhere.

I gave up trying to navigate the website. Even when I found a place that might answer my questions, it was a video. Perhaps one of the entries can help old duffers navigate information overload.

It sounds very laudable. I'm being a tad lazy, but I guess you know the background to all this (never heard of it before - not my lazyness, the award)). Can you give a link to a previous winner who has gone on to see their idea come to fruition. I've seen similar projects in the UK, and when followed up a year or two later it all starts to look very iffy. No link to hand, but a prime example was a water purification system that aired on Brit TV. Sounded great, got lots of 'known' people backing it. The thing fizzed out quicker than rain could fall.

As far as I know, the UK does not have Science Fairs in the same way that the USA does. That's probably our loss. Bit like Soap Box Derby, I need a 101 on this ().

That's not intended as cynical as it might come across. 13-18 doesn't sound like a very even playing field. The younger ones might have great concept ideas, whereas the older end of the band may be much better skilled to present how their idea will work.

No idea if any entries have done so, but I'd be impressed by those who show collaboration with others to get their project running. ' The concept was mine, Fred looked into how we can tell the world, Thelma checked the tech aspects, Bob did PR' and blah blah.,

This comes very hot on the heels of a recent post about 'redesign an inverter'.

Am I the only one who thinks this photo is an avatar? This does not look like a real person to me.
