Carrier Communication Fails

Dear ALL

If the carrier communication channel fails for a distance protection relay, what will be the course of action ??

Is it require to disable the relay ?

That was 2 years ago. What happend until now one can only guess.

Its probably the inhouse training material with test we are dealing with now.

Wonder how the Substation design went . . .
