Chevvy Aveo Break Switch Problem

My chevvy aveo wont go oht of park unless i hit an anti lock button and then it works. The break lights are also off. I had my friend fix it befor by pressing a spring by the pedal but the problem is , i dont know where abouts its located to do it myself. Anyone know??

The brake pedal is the flat one to the left of the accelerator pedal.

It's down by your feat.

Ya i know where the break pedal is.. Im talking about the spring to push. The "dual contact switch"

About 3/4" from the pedal's connecting rod, it is upwards (see in the middle of the drawing below), you need to move the driver's seat as far as it goes to give you room; I heard is a snap in replacement, you should hear a click.

Pressing a spring is probably not fixing. Suggest you have someone do a little investigation.
