Design Standards for Hydraulic/Water Bag Filter Housings?

09/19/2014 11:56 AM

Can anyone point me to the design standards for bag filter housings for hydraulic or water filtering? It appears that standard bag sizes are available. I am looking for the cavity dimensions, basket parameters or other interfaces for the housings.

4 50
8 100
9 150
1 100

These guys: Pall Corporation: Filtration, Purification, Separation and ...

And Bag Filter Housings - Industrial Filter Vessels | Eaton

And, I dealt with these guys Serfilco for years. They build custom systems, too.

They are common in many industries.

It looks like there is no standard basket design. ASME covers the pressure vessel parameters but each manufacturer appears to have their own flange design for the basket.

Yes. That makes it easier to sell the replacement bags.

We built our own pumps, up to 5 HP. Everything except the motor. Housings, couplings, impellers (SS/Ti/Hasteloy depending on chemistry), rotary drum resist filters, and more. So, you had to buy replacement parts from us. About the only thing we didn't build were high capacity pumps and blowers.

Consumables are a big part of most OEM's bread and butter in the chemical process industry.
