09/19/2014 5:27 PM

the tracking device have been working well even til date , since 6 days now, the device have not updated current time and location online on the tracking software. The gsm signal is okay and have sufficient credit as confirmed, when the sim card of the device is called.. it rings properly, and when command is sent to it via sms, it doesnt reply command any longer.

Please I need to know how to fix this problem , some time ago it happen with one of the devices after some days it came up reporting as usual current time/date and online real time report.. please advice for correction

Contact the manufacturer of this device. I assume you know what type and brand it is.

We can't see it from here.

Maybe the recent coronal mass ejection could have affected the gps system in some sort of way. It could have caused a corruption of data. Maybe a reset of the system may restore function. Just a thought.

Try sacrificing a goat to the GPS gods.

You could also ask the Magnificent Carnac and save a goat's life.

Or if it is to prevent theft, the thief has it in a Faraday Cage, where he will search for it and remove the battery eventually.....or simply destroy the unit....Thieves are not always dopes!!

Of course, it may be something even more simple like the software/firmware of the device, was badly written and has now got itself "hung up". A power off/on may restore it to "life" for a few more days at least!!!

Coupled with the fact that the op has posted NOTHING that could be of any use in helping, I propose that we wait till FULL details are posted before trying to help further.

Otherwise, its simply a waste of our time!!!

Lots of helpful references involving goats but, it could be something as simple as a software glitch. Have you tried a simple power off reset?

Never tried it, but our GPS system and its reporting system is leased and probably stop working in unison with the bill not getting paid. Magic how that works! -- JHF
