In their never ending quest for oil, petroleum companies use state of the art equipment for probing geological layers up to 1000 meters below the ground. In their search, these companies have accumulated a lot of data that geologists would love to get their hands on. Some geologists that have worked for petroleum companies in the past and have the right connections are now getting some of that valuable data.
