The root portion of my Linux system requires no grinding of anything but my teeth.

Welding inside a vacuum chamber rarely involves grinding. The possibility of inducing a crack that will fail a helium leak check makes this rare.

Welding of PVC piping does not require grinding.

We do not know what you are welding as far as material or function. We do not know what quality standard (if any) you are trying to achieve in your weld.
