Directional Protective Relay VS Reverse Power Relay

What is the difference between the function of Directional Protective Relay and Reverse Power Protective Relay?

This is a semantics question that can only be answered by the one claiming a difference between these two relays. I do not doubt that there is a difference that may be significant in the application but the OP should recognize that we know nothing about the application. We only know that the OP does not understand the circumstances well enough to see the difference, if they exist at all.

Reverse Power Protective relays are Inverse Time Delay relay where as the other one is definate time delay relay.

Inverse Time Delay - As the fault current increases the tripping time decreases.

It really depends on what it says in the data sheet!

A reverse power relay could operate at a very small fixed power on a generating set, with a fixed time delay. But it depends on magnitude of reverse power & what it could do to the set or the system.

A Directional relay probably has an adjustable setting with various overcurrent time-current curves.
