I need information on the internal components of glycol surge drum in order to determine the likely corrosion degradation process in the drum. Emma.

It may be possible to add corrosion inhibitor chemicals to the glycol, and then designing a carbon steel surge drum with a corrosion allowance on the order of 1-2 mm.

Another way is to use an expansion tank with a rubber bladder inside. Local availability might be an issue.

Becoming a member of NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) could give access to the best data. A lesser level of data can be had from material compatibility tables often published by valve and pump vendors.

Oh, come on! It is on the process equipment data sheet for the vessel! Look it up in the facility's records using its tag number!

Bill of materials for drum + Matlab or other materials compatibility tables = likely corrosion degradation process.

What about its periodical burst/collapse insurance inspection reports? Surely you can gain access to those?
