Use of CVD for Interlocking

Hi, just I want to ask that is it normal practice to use CVD signal for interlocking for feeder earthswitch in 11 kV switchgears or not?

That is for confirming that the feeder is not energised from remote end (for some reason). Yes, it is a good practice, at 11kV or any voltage level.
