Cable Size for Drive

The cable could be a lot of different sizes depending on the environment of the motor, driver and cable run. It should also matter how critical it is for this motor to run. The electrical codes for the location of this motor will be a good guide but depending on the missing criteria they may not be sufficient. There will also be the question of conductor size that will fit the VFD and motor connections.

You must properly do your own homework before you will understand the reasoning behind any answer you find.

Provide the following data :-

a.Total load,

b.Duty factor

c.Distance between source and load

d.Cable laying details

e.No of cables in trench

Measure it! If it isn't there yet then it will be whatever the qualified electrician who installs it for you selects; ask him/her!

Should be around 100 FLA for motor....multiply it by 1.25% which gives you the MCA (minimum circuit ampacity)...

Why should a group of random guys do the job you're paid for?

Ask VFD/motor manufacturer what type of cable is suitable for this.Is the motor suitable for inverter duty?.

It depends on whether it is copper, aluminium or something else, all of which you seem to be keeping to yourself, together with any indication that you know what the applicable electrical installation code is for your location. That is why the post is being treated contemptibly.
