Small Electric Motor for Spray Injector

10/06/2014 1:29 PM

Hello I am manufacturing a new appliance and I am in need of a small motor not run by battery but electricity. This would not be the main motor for the unit it will be just to run a spray injector for the unit. Just like the Airwick scents I wish to incorporate the spray as past of my unit. I took apart the airwick mechanism. It is such a simple a motor with 3 gears and it runs by motion mine will run by a timer. When the time comes the motor runs the gears to hit the spray top and squirts a mist. That is all I need.

Would you be able to make me a mechanism such as the one I described or can you recommend someone who can. It is a very simple mechanism. Thank you.

Go to the main page, and under "Products & Suppliers" you will find many sources.

Questions:

Is the spray container pressurized like an aerosol can? In that case you could use a simple solenoid actuator to release the spray. Or do you require some sort of a pump? What are you using for a controller? Power source voltage and current ?

What is the volume of the spray per cycle?

why don't you use a solenoid actuator (no need of gears or cam just connect that to timer and arrange spring to return the solenoid thats it .
