This Is Getting Old

I'm not sure why this keeps happening to you. I can say that it's not being done by any member of the CR4 admin staff. We can't trigger that message unless we turn your ability to do anything on CR4 off. And that obviously hasn't happened since you're able to post now.

There are limits in place to help prevent spam and other inappropriate activity. Here are some things that could trigger the error:

• Subscribing/unsubscribing to a lot of threads in a short period of time
• Sending a lot of private message, or deleting a lot of old PMs, in a short period of time
• Rating a lot of comments in a short period of time

Basically, doing a lot of anything.

I'll take some time later this afternoon to see if I can figure out if you've done anything that might trigger this message.

And if there's anything you can think of offhand that you're doing a lot of, shoot me a PM and we can discuss it.

I expect that you had a hand in putting me back in action. Thanks.

Don't worry, Lyn - it's only happening to you. We're OK. But remember - just 'cause you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get you .

You might have a bot parasite that is using your login to try to gain access....have you tried another browser? You might try an emergency shutdown, where you shut the computer off without logging out...then boot back normal....

It kicks in after 15 successive capital letters.

Actually, we didn't do anything (to either shut you down or start you back up), which is why I'm trying to get more info regarding this issue.

I don't believe I had done any of the things you mentioned, and had tried to respond on my work PC with IE, then Safari, my home laptop with Firefox and my Android phone with Chrome.

All with the same result.

Then, poof............................everything's back to normal.

I wouldn't put much effort into this, if I'm the only casualty, but thanks just the same.

I'm guessing things got back to normal when it was the system's version of "later" - your daily limit was probably reset.

I've submitted a ticket for someone to look into it... not much else I can do from my end so hopefully they'll be able to help.
