International Practise for Cable Laying

10/21/2014 7:41 AM

Dear All

For direct burried cable we often use HT cable at lowest layer then LT and other cables. Some protective layers like brick also considered.

Please let me know what is the international standard for cable laying in underground and overground configuration . This code should guide the minimum depth of under ground cable, specific distance between two cable layer having different voltage level etc etc...Please help

You already install power distribution cabling. You are familiar with your standard technique for installing power distribution cabling to the point you use undefined abbreviations and jargon to explain your technique. You now ask us for the international standard for doing this job.

Please tell me you attempted to use a search engine to find a standard.

I know that you did not search this forum. If you did you'd already know my answer.

Did you see that IHS has two sections found on the top of this very page called Standards Library and Reference Library?

Sorry, but I will not help incompetent people that clearly should not be doing work that might kill themselves, others and maybe even me.

Sounds like you slept through class, other wise you would already understand that there are codes you have to follow at each particular location your working at. West Africa, East Africa, GB, USA, Canada, Arctic, Ant-arctic, Philippines, Australia, .... You get the idea, at least we hope
