Protection

10/23/2014 4:14 AM

Hi,

1. Upto what current rating is MCB applied? Is it always a single phase protection?

2. In what current range is MCCB applied? Is it always a 3 phase protection?

I am more concerned about the motor loads.

Regs,

They are there to protect the WIRING. To protect the motor, use a motor overload protective device as well.

To protect your load motor you should use an overload for protection and not MCB or MCCB.
