Sounds like roundabout advertising to me (no pun intended).

Gathering expert advice for market research. lets not apply a stinge to it for no reason.

Most engineers here are the "I need one of those" types.

I've worked for two OEMs (one in active noise cancellation) and they are where your market is not here.

As "a closely held private company with worldwide presence" I'm surprised you are wasting your time here.

Actually, there are paid marketing services that are experts in that field.

However, you came to an engineering forum to ask for marketing advice; free advice, at that, which is sometimes worth the price.

We have a diverse mix of people here, but the odds of running across an audio marketing expert is going to be pretty low.

It's like popping into a photography forum asking for experts on boating. You could not do much worse if you consulted a magic Eight-Ball.

So, if you feel I am putting a "stinge" spin on things it is only because your request is a little illogical for this forum and it seems like there may an ulterior motive.

I am not claiming that there is and your motives may very well be of good intent, but I hope you understand why it would raise the question and not for no reason.

Perhaps the best advise I could give is that you seek counsel from a reputable marketing firm. There will be a fee for their services, but if your product or services are worth their salt it will be an investment well spent.
