Due to a consistently strong order book CMD now require a high calibre Electrically biased, Production Engineer to support their growth plans. As the Production Engineer you will:
• Be responsible for all matters concerning production processes, improving productivity, reducing cycle times, and implementing corrective actions.
• Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles across the site.
• Experienced in writing, vetting, controlling and developing assembly and test processes, procedures, drawings and other documentation.
• Participate in activities such as continuous improvement (CI), cost reduction (CR), new product introduction (NPI).
• Ensure that for new products the required processes, equipment, jigging, software programs and routings are introduced.
• Design, supply and approve electrical and mechanical tooling, jigs, fixtures and gauges.
• Communicate with sub-contractors and suppliers in dealing with queries on product and equipment.
• Undertake self-sponsored projects and time frames for the improvement of current and new processes.
• Give training and technical support on new machines and processes.
• Analyse data and the production of performance graphs and progress charts.
