Inspirepac is Hiring an Engineering Supervisor in Chesterfield, UK

Inspirepac are a dynamic, skilled and independent business, offering outstanding print quality, die cutting, stitching and gluing capabilities, together with fulfilment and contract packing services. The technology and the quality of their employees have enabled them to become a major independent packaging force in the UK. Due to continued growth and development of the business, they have recently confirmed they are to open a state of the art factory based in Markham Vale, Chesterfield which is situated off junction 29a (M1).
Due to this expansion an opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Supervisor who will report directly into the Regional Engineering Manager and be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the smooth running of all machinery on site. Other responsibilities include:
• To work closely with other engineering and production staff.
• Keep excellent records of work carried out, with time taken and parts used.
• Work to find the root cause of a failure, to prevent recurrences (RCA).
• To request parts and services, with correct details.
• Be able to liaise with outside suppliers and contractors.
• To keep a clean and safe working area (5S).
• To participate in the development of the maintenance plan, and continuous improvement program (CI).
• Help to continually improve performance of the Engineering team to achieve objectives.

Who we're looking for

As the Engineering Supervisor you will be influential in taking ownership and responsibility for all allocated projects within the Engineering function, creating a culture of positive customer relations (Internal/External) and leading from the front. You will have strong communication skills with the ability to correspond at all levels within the business.
• HNC/HND within Engineering.
• Electrical Biased (16th/17th Wiring Edition).
• Conversant with PLC controlled systems.
• Must have a mechanical aptitude.
• Packaging / FMCG experience advantages.
