Short Circuit Ratings of Control Panels

Hi,

Are ratings of control panels based on ratings of busbars? Are control panels standard sized - or they are sized as per the components they need? Are motor loads three wire loads or four wire loads? Does four wire load means that load is present in neutral cable and thus neutral conductor is also needed?

If you don't know, them one of two things; 1- you need more schooling and 2- you should be designing things you do not understand. You will kill yourself or so poor innocent person that did not understand why some one incompetent would be allowed to design such a system
