01/08/2015 2:44 PM

Dear Friends, Please help with any info on international standards or regulations that states 1. The max required accuracy for different categories of field instruments like safeguarding, control, fiscal etc. 2. The required accuracy of a calibrator with respect to the unit under test. 3. Any other material that talks about setting instrument and test equipment accuracy requirements. Thanx

Applying for a job or writing a paper?

Have you talked to any instrument suppliers? Instrument engineers? Calibrators? Specification writers?

Have you performed any searches for scholarly articles, or do you just want us to type out what we collectively know?

ISO 9000 series, must have standards on this, better if your designed program surpass theirs.

Practicality is, keep it under significance of your application. Such a worthless example is requesting the management to buy an electron microscope when your job is just involve in a scale of millimeter.

Go back to your process and quality control and assurance programs, the clue is there of how you do it with significance and cost effective. If in doubt ask yourself, if significant figures your program aimed brings a better and less accident, convenience, shut downs and losses in production
