Anyone Know About Such a Bracket

01/30/2015 4:05 AM

For a crane lifted formwork like this:

I found this bracket

I think this is a one directional bracket, the channel rail can only going up. Is it true?

Anyone knows about it?

Sure it is! See the wedge where the bolt is? If you have a stopper in your rail then it will get over the wedge and lock in the downward position.

In the attached picture you can see how the vertical sliding piece is locked

to the bracket. When during the lifting of the frame work it reaches the bracket it will fold into the vertical slider and after the piece has passed the bracket it will flip back into the position as shown and will lock the scaffolding in place.

The picture is copied from the "MEVA Schalungssysteme" Product information. Sorry there is no photo of the original bracket shown in the thread. But the this shows the principle pretty good.
