Rear Door Child Safety Lock Release

07/09/2007 9:29 PM

Does ANY make or model of 4-door CAR or SUV have an AUTOMATIC RELEASE of the Rear Door Child Safety Lock AFTER an accident. I am concerned about entrapment and fire after an accident and rear seat passenger can not get out quickly because the Child Safet Lock has been set. I read about this problem at www. SafeChildLock.com and haven't been able to find the feature on any new cars. Salesmen don't even know what I'm talking about. My wife doesn't want me to buya new car until this feature is available. If you know of one, PLEASE let me know at reply@bestgoto.net. Thank you.

Interesting problem. At least with older volvos, the child safety lock physically disconnects the inside handle from the latch.

Believe BMW does this, unlocks driver and pax doors too as well as automatically activates 4 way hazard lights after an impact.

What is the problem?

Child Locks only prevent the doors from being opened from the inside.

THEY CAN STILL BE OPENED FROM OUTSIDE!

I think the idea is if the driver becomes immobilized the child can get to safety on there own after an accident.

Hey, H. Weber, you've been posting this spam everywhere on the internet.... Noticed your EXACT SAME post on Amazon, and lo and behold, you're still at it.

Next time you post your spam, you may want to remove your name from your domain registration...or at least make it not match your Amazon posting name! It took me 2 seconds to whois the domain, which provided me the phone number of 5087714956 which, of course, belongs to H. Weber of Hyannis, MA.

BTW, your webpage is really annoying. The music that starts playing itself and the annoying animations do NOTHING to promote usability.
