GE Frame-9E Gas Turbine Tripping on Low Liquid Fuel Pressure

We have GE Frame-9E Gas turbine at out site in india. Few days ago, our 02 GTs tripped one by one on Low liquid fuel pressure (Liquid fuel PT 96FL at upstream of GT Fuel pump). Using NAPTHA as a Liquid fuel.

1st GT tripped during fuel changeover valve malfunction (3-way valve).

2nd GT tripped after 2 min. time duration of 1st GT. Before tripping of 2nd, load variation observed @ 20 MW. Flame Intensity, FSR, FQL also variation observed. After that machine trip on low liquid fuel pressure at GT Acc.driven fuel pump pressure. Fuel filter, HP Filter, checked, found ok.

What may be the other cause of tripping of 2nd GT.

The cause is to be determined by a careful examination of the data by a factory engineer, not a forum of strangers who know nothing of the actual details.

i'd say that a lack of competence of the operators was at fault, after seeing your request to total strangers to suggest causes for an unknown shutdown of a piece of equipment under your care.

Call in a factory technical person and quit wasting everyone's time.

Did you read the manual?

Of all the problems you bring to this forum, do you EVER consult the operator's manual or contact the manufacturer for help?

Interesting data and I assume that any expert here could have given insight. Being only on surface of GT I am unable to help on this, but the two GTs both tripping on fuel related issue rings a bell. I assume it was not cascade tripping? or fuel quality problem that caused the change-over malfunction for #1? Why don't you call the local OEM and ask for the advice, looking at the parameters prior to tripping they would be able to pinpoint.
