As compared to what....old orders. I think it is wise just to be aware of it. Hopefully we were at the bottom, and if we were, it will have its ups and downs. And Manufacturer sector has every reason to be cautious. Because the situation is lack of confidence, because that is all we heard...at least I have, that things are improving after a positive spurt in the economy.

In our business, we have not seen any resurgence in business level among old customers or trial requests from potential customers. However, new inquiries that have been on hold for months are tentatively rescheduled for "spring".

As far as purchases and capital investments go, we have taken the approach that our business has a strong base and will recover when the economy in general recovers. We have pursued new markets, protected ourselves with IP/patents, and worked regulatory progress into daily activities. We have reduced waste. We have developed our staff and relationships. We have agressively worked on quality and efficiency issues internally so we are ready to roar back when the time comes.

Looks like that time is not (yet) now.
