Time for Direct Part Production?

Historically, additive technologies have been used for product development and the rapid prototyping of parts and components. Now, with the help of RP Systems like the the EOS M270 Direct Metal Laser Sintering Process, companies are moving from prototypes to direct manufacturing using additive metals technologies. Some Press Brakes have the ability to process the entire setup directly from a "solid model file". This is the ultimate drag-n-drop where anyone can walk up to the machine with a CAD file on a USB stick and make a good part.
