Congress to Archive Every Tweet

The Library of Congress is to archive every single public tweet ever made. Twitter says since they started in 2006, billions of tweets have been created and 55m are sent every day. The digital archive will include tweets from President Barack Obama on the day he was elected as well as the first tweet from co-founder Jack Dorsey.

Now, this is a worthy project that is guaranteed to run up the national debt while creating an archive so large it is impossible to consume or analyze (although I am sure there are a number of statisticians eager to use this database to prove/disprove whatever their rivals have disproved/proved- all at public expense, of course, giving us exponential control over the increase in the National Debt...
