yamdankee is a Web Content Technologist at GlobalSpec. He went to school for Electrical Engineering Technology and Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology. Hi,
Repairing modern electronics mustbe a bit of a challenge...well getting into the damn stuff certainly is, and then all that surface mount stuff, just not designed for repair.
Snowboarding...when I was a kid we couldn't afford snow, but we were never bored.
My nephew who is in IT was a hot shot snow boarder, but his joints are giving up on him early now...
It' that tricky balance, you want to enjoy your physical prowess while you are young but hopefully without storing up problems for later.
Strangely enough I had a weird dream last night I was snow boarding, but it was on grass...I've never actually snowboarded or ski'd. Hmmm I'm in cat rambling mode now, quick someone chuck me out.

It's a cat word from 'brevity quota' or ' brevity quotient' something which is oft' exceeded by some of our less concise brethren.
I'm hoping that by constant use it may eventually find it's way into common parlance.

Just so long as your incorrect usage of apostrophes doesn't. It's bad enough with that darned squibble scattering them about like confetti, with the Cat doing too!

Mutter, mutter, mumble, grumble, it's all that fur they've got. Where're the clippers and razor?

Meanwhile, it seems odd the OED hasn't been in touch yet. But that may be because "brev&quot" is an html term for punctuation.

I did use proper " type ones, but they were cheapo krisDel TM one from our budget puctuation range and half of the " fell off leaving a paltry '
I think they were cobbled together from a batch of reject commas.
I always smirk when driving past a house near here.. the sign say Budgie's for sale.
Budgie's what? Droppings? Feathers?

I was talking about the >oft'< and >it's< incorrect usages. I'd spotted the cheapo KrisDel™ quotation marks. Recognize 'em anywhere, I could.

I did a google search.

Top two answers are DtC on CR4 (with option to expand CR4 Results...). All the rest occur in the middle of Swedish text. Do you read Swedish? Or just look at the pictures?

I think we need to get brevquot used on other websites...can we get it to go viral?!

Budgie's cage, of course...

I think you may have exceeded your

Britscurtriv quotient

quoation ≈ quotation

or are you simulating Elmer Fudd saying Croatia?

But a more plausible explanation is you are using the economy KrisDelspellchunker [ & now for your inconvenience even less accuracy]

I wonder if OP {yamdankee} will ever come back?

Possibly he would have some yanktriv to share.

I suppose that's really Kyzine's forte, then i'dn't

The two "t"s that are missing from my post (strange you only spotted one ) have been drunk by Del and PWS over on the Testing thread.

And two for Tea...

I think it's like Obama telling us that we (USA) live in the greatest country in the world and that he hopes we will all get behind him while he works to change it!!

Sorry, don't mean to be political. I was just struck by the irony...
