Posted June 08, 2010 7:55 AM

From NYT > Science:

James Hinton looked over a barge jutting into the mouth of a 6,000-acre estuary last weekend and said, "If we can make this work, if the oil don't get in here, 1,275 miles of bay and river coastline will be protected."

I love it. Step up and take the situation in hand! Too many citizens have become so passive that when bad things happen we just sit down and wait for someone to come take care of us. It's great to see people with the gumption to roll up their sleeves and take care of their own problems themselves.
