Microsoft has entered the online home energy management fray with its Web-based Hohm Score tool. Simply entering an address returns an energy efficiency score for almost any U.S. residence. The application generates an estimate of how energy is used in a home, based on analytics from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and offers estimates for potential annual savings.
