Animals + Robots = Me Peeing My Pants

Posted March 02, 2007 1:54 PM

From SCI FI Tech:

Is there anything scarier than the thought of an army of cyborg animals, programmed to rip out your jugular with no fear of death? I say no. Which is why the above photo keeps me up at night. Look at that rat! He has wires going into his exposed brain! Words don't exist to express that horribleness in that photograph! Augh! And it gets worse! Apparently this goes way beyond the mere cyborg butterflies we've reported on in the past. There is work being done on animals such as pigeons, bugs, and, I'm not kidding, sharks. Sharks! Half-robot sharks! I'm pretty sure DARPA has been recording my nightmares, as it doesn't get much scarier than that. Stay away from me, cyborg animal assassins. — Adam Frucci

Oh no?

You want something to dream about?

We're next! (Or at least the one after next.)

Looks to me a like a brain scanner . It's been used to show that Rats learn mazes by remembering the view exactly as if they had an internal video cam. Scientists can watch the replay and confirm all this. I think they should have stuck to a re-run of the Walton's.
