Too Late to the Party?

The first Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association Summit in Dubai discussed the growth and prospects for Mideast plastics manufacturing. With the focus worldwide on bioplastics to address resource and consumer concerns, combined with worries over depletion of Mideast oil reserves, are they too late to join the market? Will there be demand for petroleum-based plastics in the long- and short-term?

If structural resistance to decay (due to chemical changes) over a period of time is crucial or a safety concern, then YES! there will be, forever!.*
