Paste-Free Toothbrush Cleans With Solar Power

Anyone who has seen the toothpaste aisle at a store knows that Americans are obsessed with our pearly whites. A new solar-powered brush designed by Canadian dentistry professors works without paste, using electrons instead. Brushes like this just might make paste a thing of the past.

Interesting, but I don't see it replacing paste entirely. According to a something I read recently (can't find the link) toothpastes with fluoride greatly reduce cavities even in areas with fluoridated water.

Plus there are other agents added which may whiten, etc. And if nothing else there's always the fresh minty breath (or banana or perhaps curry if that's your thing) benefit that keeps those around you from gagging - or worse, gagging you with something.
