Who is Responsible for the Gulf Oil Spill Disaster?

I have no idea when it was that any of us actually directly voted let the industry buy off the requlators, who are not elected officials

No one is to blame. It was an accident. Any time you have large complicated equipment doing difficult tasks, there are bound to be accidents eventually. Responsible? BP definitely! And they stepped up to the task quickly & diligently.

This certainly was an accident. This kind of cost incurred by BP is not in their best

intrest for the bottom line and their share holders. The fact that the US Govt has driven these companies out to deep water does not help the cause of supply and demand.
