Having returned from vacation in China in Oct 2010, I can vouch for the existence of large scale wind generator farms. I saw many such wind farms between Beijing and Da Tong as well as between Tai Yuan and Beijing. They even design and manufacture their own large scale wind generators. I've also seen widespread use of solar water heaters on many rooftops. It would be nice If Canada did something similar instead of buying from Denmark or Korea.Ontario has the largest wind farms in North America from what I hear.
