One often overlooked question. Is there an international border between you and your supplier? If there is you may be exposed to a whole new layer of possible problems and/or delays. Even if your supplier is located across the street, where does he get the goods from? He may order them directly from a foreign country for delivery to your door. this can leave you with the problems asociated with customs clearance.

If you are moving goods internationally check with a professional BEFORE placing your order. Know your landed cost and time frame and documentation requirements.
