HOW TO - Collect hydrogen and oxygen

Posted April 06, 2007 3:48 PM

From MAKE Magazine:

In this instructable I'll give you a simple way to collect Hydrogen gas and if you want also, to collect Oxygen. Depending on the voltage and current that you use for the project this could be hazardous. I used a 14.4 volt power drill battery pack for the process but don't recommend it, I only used it to achieve a noticeable effect in a short time period (about 20 minutes).

An example how to create Ex Zone.

Anybody could calculate the space /sphere?

I know that Ex zone creates specific requirements to the technical equipment and installation. Check NEC {National Electrical Code}

"In this instructable I'll give you a simple way to collect Hydrogen gas and if you want also, to collect Oxygen."

What? No instructions to make "Brown's Gas!"

Otherwise a pointless exercise in futility.

Why bother?

That reminds me that they also forgot all about the Joe Cell, How to Make a Joe Cell, and what to do with the product once you 'get it.'

Make Magazine is really slipping when the have to stoop so low. They must have a reprint of "The Boy Mechanic" of the 1930's.
