Empowerment is good . But on should be cautious. Delegation of power without well defined accountability will create more negative results than positive ones.

Allow staff to make decisions!!

What nonsense, to do that we would have to train them....... then they would expect us to pay them!!

Spreading such treasonous rumors on the internet should be banned. There aught to be a law.
