Car Review: 2011 Scion xB

Remember when Scion was the brand everyone was talking about? Back when they could do no wrong? Well, in the last few years it seems like Scion has lost some of its edge. Then at the New York Auto Show, they trotted out a Toyota FT-86 with a Scion badge on it.

To me, the first generation xB was the best and coolest thing Scion ever did. It practically was Scion when it first emerged in 2003. Sure the tC was cute, but the xB was something new. So when Scion introduced the second generation xB just three years later, it was disappointing: heavier, less stylish, and with worse mileage.

So now it's 2011 and this is the fifth year of the second generation design. We got a spiced up release series 8.0 in the cool VooDoo Blue (picture at left). So how does it stack up against the competition?
