The Cherokee is coming back as a CUV based on the Dodge Dart/Alfa Giulietta platform. And it sure is ugly.

Looks like the son of an Aztec and a Pacer.

The Aztec (remember the slogan? "Aztec, possibly the worlds most hideous vehicle") without a doubt was at the scene of the crime.

.

I'm not so sure about the Pacer, (or alternately the Pinto, or the Gremlin) being a viable culprits.

.

I mean look at the epicanthic headlight folds. No, this was not the result of the wide eyed Pacer.

.

There are really only two possiblities:

.

either the other parent had genetics to express that phenotype...(which looks unlikely given how much nicer the cars with similar headlights look than the new Cherokee)...

.

Couldn't be this one:

.

and definitely not this one either..

.

What are you kidding?

.

OR

.

Cherokee was sired by a car with serious stoner genetics and Pop's started Cherokee off right away...

.

You'd have to be really high to sleep with Aztec, wouldn't you?

.

So we are probably looking for something like:

.

.

or this:

.

.\

or maybe even this:

.

Only to a Chrysler Exec would this make any sense at all. Take one of the most iconic and reliable selling vehicles, mess it up, then wonder why Chrysler is always going bankrupt. Gees the level of stupidity that makes a seven figure salary amazes me.

HEY GUYS AT FIAT, I CAN BE THAT OBTUSE, PAY ME!
