GE Mag Says Natural Gas-Powered Turbines Could Be the Answer

What about the CARBON emissions? How about if we quit using GE fridges and went back to dry ice instead?

I might be missing the sarcasm there, but dry ice is pure CO2... then account for the energy and associated emissions to make the dry ice...

What I was trying to say was: Why not use the CO2 ( in the form of dry ice), that's currently being made as a byproduct of coal fired plants, to displace the need for more electricity, ie. that which comes from coal fired power plants now. We would then need fewer gas fired power plants that emit more CO2 that we don't know what to do with. However, if they are intending to replace coal plants, it's probably a good idea. GE was pushing nuclear power back in the '50's and eventually did well making the parts for nuke plants. Unfortunately, they manipulated the domestic use of electricity to do it. They made home appliances less efficient to increase power demand to help their cause. It took a few years but it finally worked. I guess I'm trying to say that conservation is a better idea.

Since the world began, it's always been carbon neutral. The origin of plant based coal, oil and gas breathed in carbon dioxide and exhaled oxygen. The cycle goes on.

Sure the world is carbon neutral. After all it's a closed system. Thing is, before, when all the carbon was out and about - man couldn't live there.
