Boeing's Dreamliner 787 may be the coolest new toy on the runway, but it took a long time to get there. The design and delivery process was fraught with problems: design flaws, supply chain miscommunications, engine failures, and cost overruns. Based on what we've all read, is the 787 so innovative that it was worth waiting for?
