I don't think so....another electronic toy basically.

As a Step-Father of two Autistic children for the past 11 years, one with severe Autism, OCD, and MR and the other with Asberger's Disease, OCD, and bi-polar, I firmly believe that early intervention and treatment is the answer...so is "special education" curriculum that's effective.

My cousin is autistic and when he's on a computer it seems to help out a lot. While you tube may not be the most constructive activity, he has to type in what he wants to see, thus practicing a necessary skill and a method of communication.
