We are a natural gas transportation company. Most of our compressor stations are remotely located ... in other words "out in the middle of nowhere." We have used wireless transmission gateways to transmit liquid level measurements so that liquid tanks do not overflow. The information is transmitted into our office many miles away so we can send someone to empty tanks when they start getting full.

We also use wireless radios to transmit compressor operation data to a flow computer across the road to avoid the cost of burying conduit and running wires.

We have hundres of sites with flow computers which send their information via wireless radios so we can monitor operations here in the office.

Yes ... wireles is a "game changer." I don't know where we would be without it.

I used bluetooth in my cellphone as serial communication rather than cable.I can send receive files even connect my computer to internet.I think the data rate is slow in bluetooth than serial cable. BTW its fun to use wireless technology.
