Agreed. No. I guess this question has some merit, in certain areas of life. But on the whole, it strikes me as an exaggerated overreaction to the theoretical possibility of doing so. How many of your books are available, commercially, for the Kindle? I haven't checked all of mine, but I think it's a safe guess that it's probably no more than 10%. A lot of scanning has been done, but how many are available for purchase? And a lot of music that was on vinyl may never see a digital form.

A paperless world might come about some day to a very large degree, but I doubt if it will be in my lifetime.

If I have a choice then electronic format is preferred.
