Chelsey H has been writing for the Biomedical Engineering blog here on CR4. In addition to blogging she's also a CR4 moderator.

Tell
me about yourself (major, college, work experience):
I graduated in May 2011 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a
Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering and minors in Professional Writing and
Marketing Management. I previously worked at RPI as Operation Associate for the
Office of Conference Services.
Why
did you choose to moderate/blog?
I have always
been interested in science and medicine, ever since I was little. When I was
choosing a major biomedical engineering seemed like a good mesh between the two
fields. I have also always loved to write and it is now my career as a
Technical Writer for GlobalSpec. The Biomedical blog on CR4 gives me the chance
to stay current in my field, teach and share information with others, and write
for an audience.
Favorite
part about moderating/blogging?
Teaching and
sharing information with others about the amazing discoveries in the fields of
medicine, materials, biology, etc. Everyday research is helping people to live
healthier lives and I like learning about what is being done.
Blogging
topics: How do you choose?
For me it was my
major, so it was a natural fit, but I'm hoping to expand into other blogs that
interest me such as Sports and Fitness, Women of Engineering, and (being a
recent graduate) education.
Favorite
part about CR4?
There is always something
new. It's an easy way to get a quick glance at new technology and innovations,
hot topics that are causing a stir, and hear many different opinions.
What
are your hobbies?
Irish Dance, Reading, Writing,
Relay For Life Committee, American Cancer Society Events.
Favorite
website & why?
Pinterest.com is a site that
allows users to "pin" images from all over the internet onto "boards". It's a
personal, virtual, inspirational cork-board. You can see what other users
are "pinning" to get ideas for everything from Christmas presents, home
remodeling, cooking, and what to do with an old tee-shirt.
Motto/Advice
you live by?
Treat others how you would like to
be treated and hopeless optimism.
What
are 5 things you can't live without?
My family,
my friends, music, coffee, chocolate chip cookies.
Scariest
(and coolest) moment of your life?
The
scariest (and coolest) moment of my life was riding a donkey up a muddy
mountain in the Dominican Republic to see a waterfall with my whole family ( 2
grandparents, 2 parents, 2 siblings, 4 aunts/uncles, and 5 cousins).
