What Causes Aurora?

Posted January 24, 2012 3:01 PM

Very good explanatory video. I was watching the news and a short piece was on strange noises found in Saskatchewan but also reported in other parts of the world. The claimed explanation is that it is caused by electromagnetic noise from the aurora. Can someone explain this better? I have a feeling aliens are beginning to arrive in time for the 2012 end of the world. The noise is weird and having been raised in the north is alien to me even through watching many auroras. What sort of antennae could project this sound so widespread?
