This is not a hack. Neither are DDOSs. But the word hack gets everyone's attention. Someone of the author's purported eminence should know better.

Does the author have something against smartphones or is he just trying to boost his Twitter personna?

Hack or not, it just proves that there IS NO SUCH THING as a secure site, application or phone on the internet.
