Hahaha, the initial primary source for the article was the reporters hair stylist.

Next time BP have a problem in the gulf perhaps they should call their local florist.

I agree this article starts off on the wrong foot. Starting with a casual conversation at a hairdresser just diminishes anything else that follows in the article. I know April 1 is rapidly approaching but hot or nuclear divers are real. The article should have pointed out that these divers do strictly follow As Low As Reasonably Allowed (ALARA) protocol in their nuclear work.

I read the entire thing in the paper magazine. It's a new thing they're doing at popsci...........................long, boring human interest stories that don't really say much of anything. Between those, and the rest of the magazine being taken up with blatant advertising with the "what's new" section, it looks like yet another subscription that I'll be dropping.
