Actually the site is about 20 miles south and east from Socorro, New Mexico. Using Google Earth if you look in that area you will see a black area that at first looks like a lake, but it is lava. Just west of the lava, look for a spot like the picture under my name. Thats Trinity Site. There are a couple WSMR (White Sands Missle Range) roads in the area to look for, one leads to Trinity. The really interesting thing, once you find Trinity, back off (gain altitude) and look south and west a couple miles and you will see another site that is about a hundred times larger. Very interesting. According to a Los Alamos report the blast spread plutonium debri for several miles to the north and east, and I am not sure of the life of plutonium but I bet the area is still hot. The day they set off the blast the wind was blowing and there were scattered showers. I will look up the report and provide a link ASAP.
